Sodium percarbonate is useful as both cleaner and a sanitiser.
For general cleaning use 30g per 10L of water, let it soak for 10min and then rinse off. For line cleaning use 30g per 3L of water.
Sodium prcarbonate is a very effective cleaner and can penetrate and remove dry yeast, beer stone etc. While it does degrade over time into safe components (oxygen, sodium carbonate and water) it is not a no-rinse sanitiser. For that, you should use a phosphoric acid-based sanitiser at the correct dilution.
The active oxygen method of cleaning sodium percarbonate uses actively attacks any impurities on surfaces making it easy to simply rinse off with clean water after 10-20min depending on how caked on it is.
Excellent product, easy to use
This stuff is great, easy to use and keeps my fermenters and kegs like new.
Easy to use.
I bought this to use with my new pressure fermenter. Works well and lives in easy to open, wide-mouthed jar for easy access. Instructions for use are clear as my next brew (hopefully)
Since switching over to the I Kegger cleaner not so much hard work in keeping everything clean I leave it soaking for up to 48 hours cleans everything beautifully quick rinse with the sanitiser and we are up and running again great product
