Iced tea recipes

Cold brew tea (2L)

Steep about 15โ€“20g of loose-leaf tea (or 8โ€“10 tea bags) in 2L of cold water in the fridge for 8โ€“12 hours, then strain. Green and white teas need less time than black. Cold brewing gives a smooth tea with very little bitterness.

Classic iced tea (2L)

Brew 8 black tea bags in 1L of boiling water for 4โ€“5 minutes, remove the bags, stir in sugar to taste and top up with 1L of cold water. Chill completely before kegging.

Peach iced tea

Simmer 2 sliced ripe peaches with 150g sugar and 150ml water for 10 minutes, strain, and stir the syrup into 2L of black or green iced tea.

Sparkling tea

Carbonate cold brew tea under COโ‚‚ at about 15 psi for a dry, sparkling drink โ€” a good alcohol-free alternative to bubbles.

Nitro tea

Pour chilled black tea with nitrogen for a creamy, silky texture without milk.

Strain all tea leaves and fruit before kegging โ€” they can block the tap.
