Summer cocktail kegs

Why summer cocktails belong in a keg

Cold without melting ice

Double-wall insulation keeps the batch cold for 10+ hours in the heat.

No glass by the pool

Pour into plastic cups from a stainless keg.

Mint without the muddling

A mint syrup carries the flavour without leaves blocking the tap.

Fizz or froth

CO₂ for mojitos, nitrous oxide for creamy, frothy pours.

Batch summer cocktail recipes

Daiquiri (1L)

From the iKegger Cocktail Recipe Book:

  • 360ml white rum
  • 240ml fresh lime juice
  • 120ml sugar syrup
  • 200ml water or one tray of keg-sized ice

Gas with nitrous oxide and shake at 20 psi. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Mojito (about 1L)

  • 300ml white rum
  • 150ml fresh lime juice
  • 150ml mint syrup (simmer 150g sugar and 150ml water, add a big handful of mint off the heat, steep 30 minutes, strain)
  • 400ml soda water

Carbonate with CO₂ at about 15 psi. Put fresh mint and lime in the glass, not the keg — leaves can block the tap. Scaled from a common bar ratio, so taste and adjust.

Piña colada (about 1L)

  • 300ml white rum
  • 450ml pineapple juice
  • 150ml smooth, pourable coconut cream
  • 100ml water

Use the classic 2:3:1 ratio of rum to pineapple to coconut cream. Coconut cream thickens when cold, so give the keg a good shake before pouring, and gas with nitrous oxide for a frothy top. Serve over crushed ice.

Virgin versions

Leave the rum out of any of these and top with a little extra soda or pineapple. See our mocktails page for more alcohol-free recipes.

Please enjoy alcohol responsibly. Kegs ship empty and we don’t sell alcohol.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do you batch mojitos?

Make a mint syrup instead of muddling, mix it with rum, lime and soda, and carbonate under CO₂. Add fresh mint to each glass.

Can I make frozen piña coladas from a keg?

The keg pours them chilled rather than frozen. For a slushy, pour into a blender with ice.

Will coconut cream block the tap?

Use a smooth, pourable coconut cream and shake the keg before pouring. Avoid anything with pieces in it.

How long do these keep?

With fresh lime and pineapple, they’re best within a day or two. Keep the keg cold.

Summer, on tap

Batch the cocktails, chill the keg and head outside.
