Sangria, Pimm’s and Punch On Tap

Party kegs for jug drinks

Why a keg beats the jug

Stays cold

No ice melting into the punch bowl.

Stays fizzy

Pimm’s and sparkling sangria keep their bubbles under CO₂.

No fruit in the tap

Steep the fruit, strain it, and put fresh fruit in the glass.

Self-serve

Guests help themselves at the push of a button.

Buying guide

Batch recipes for a crowd

These are classic ratios scaled for a keg. Fruit pieces can block the tap, so steep the fruit, strain it out and add fresh fruit to each glass.

Red sangria (about 2L)

  • 1.5L Spanish red wine (tempranillo or garnacha)
  • 150ml brandy
  • 150ml orange juice
  • 100ml orange liqueur or sugar syrup, to taste
  • Sliced orange, lemon and apple, steeped in the wine overnight and strained

Pour still with nitrogen at 1–3 psi, or carbonate under CO₂ for a sparkling sangria. For white sangria, use a crisp white wine and peach or stone fruit.

Pimm’s cup (2L)

  • 500ml Pimm’s No. 1
  • 1.5L lemonade

Use the classic ratio of 1 part Pimm’s to 3 parts lemonade and keep it under CO₂ at about 15 psi so it stays fizzy. Add cucumber, strawberries, orange and mint to the glass.

Party punch

The old rule is “one of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak”. For a 2L keg: 200ml lime juice, 400ml sugar syrup or fruit juice, 600ml dark rum and 800ml water, tea or soda. Steep spices in the syrup if you like, strain, then keg it.

Alcohol-free punch

Swap the spirit for cold black tea or extra juice and top with soda water under CO₂. Recipes on our mocktails page.

Please enjoy alcohol responsibly. Kegs ship empty and we don’t sell alcohol.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is the Pimm’s ratio?

One part Pimm’s No. 1 to three parts lemonade, with cucumber, strawberries, orange and mint in the glass.

Can I put fruit in the keg?

Steep the fruit in the wine or syrup, then strain it out before kegging. Pieces can block the tap.

How much sangria do I need for a party?

Allow two or three glasses per guest over an afternoon. A 5L keg holds about 30 glasses of 160ml.

Will sangria keep in the keg?

For a day or two in the fridge. Wine-based drinks are best fresh.

Retire the jug

Batch it once, keep it cold and let guests help themselves.
