Latest Info Update.

Hi there,

All orders placed prior to this evening have shipped!

Unfortunately crazy demand and a bunch of freight issues caused us to have to change expected delivery dates of pre-orders a couple of times, we did everything possible to make sure everyone got their gear on time and it appears that the vast majority of orders will arrive before Christmas.
If you want an idea of what this looked like from our side, read on. 
  • Our sea shipment with thousands of kegs and tap systems was rerouted and arrived a month late, it should have been in our warehouse 2 weeks before Black Friday, instead it was delivered at 1pm today.
  • As soon as I knew of the delay I paid a fortune to fly in the stock to cover pre-orders with UPS (expensive and fast courier). This sat in a depot for over a week before being scanned, then once it was moving, tracking updated to say it would arrive on Tues 17th (nearly 2 weeks after it was expected). 
  • When we learned of that delay we flew in whatever we could from our German store as backup too.
  • On Tuesday 17th the UPS delivery date changed to Wednesday the 18th.
  • On Wednesday morning at 7.30am I waited on hold till I got confirmation UPS would deliver by the end of the day.

Once I had the confirmation we spread out the 120 pre-orders on the driveway in order, packed everything into the boxes, printed the shipping labels and stuck them on the boxes so we could just drop in the missing pieces and seal them before the Auspost truck picked up in the afternoon. But UPS never showed.

At 10pm Wednesday night the tracking updated from Wed 18th to Friday the 20th, then when it refreshed on Thursday morning, that changed to Monday the 23rd.

I eventually managed to get confirmation that the boxes were still in Sydney (1.5hrs drive away) so we drove up there Thursday afternoon to get them ourselves. Only to find they had lost one of the boxes, the one we needed most. So much for door-to-door express service!

We arrived back and packed as many orders as possible before dropping 2 car loads each at the local post office by 4.55pm.


I finished packing the rest of the pre-orders at 10pm Thursday night and Auspost picked them up Friday morning.
We then did the same with the more recent orders, having them all pre-packed as much as possible awaiting the sea shipment delivery Friday afternoon and managed to get those out with the afternoon Auspost pickup.
We are all exhausted, sunburnt (you may notice that the shipping labels have actually burnt in the sun while we were packing, much like we did) and dehydrated, but pretty proud of what we managed.
We did the best we could in the circumstances, I'm sorry that some people may not get their gear by Christmas Day. We have tried to communicate as regularly as possible what was happening as changes occured and sent everything out express that had a chance of getting there in time.  I ask you to keep in mind the huge stress and long hours our small team has been dealing with trying to come up with the best outcome for all our customers.

The German stock sent to help arrived in Botany on the 14th December, delivery updated 6 days later to delivery on the 24th. It was supposed to be next day.
